Q. Can I upgrade my ticket once I’m there?
A. If you attend FHNY2013 as a general admission (free) participant, you can still upgrade your ticket to Pepsi Premier with stage-front viewing after you arrive for $30. Cash or credit cards accepted at any gate.
Q. Is this an all ages event?
A. Children 12 and under are admitted without charge to the Pepsi Premier Viewing area and General Admission. Children 13 and older are considered adults for admission. No one under the age of 21 may enter the Ciroc Crescent Lounge or the Palmetto Penthouse.
Q. Are there free places to park?
A. Yes! There is plenty of free parking available in six (6) City of Columbia parking garages. The garage at Assembly and Lady Streets is reserved for VIP and media parking. Check the locations here.
Q. What if it rains?
A. This is a rain-or-shine event. Make plans to have a terrific evening, no matter what the weather!
Q. Will businesses in the area be open?
A. We would love all businesses to stay open during the event. However, final determination on store hours the night of the event will be decided by each individual business owner.
Q. How do I get a backstage pass?
A. No backstage passes are for sale. However, there are special stage viewing areas for those who volunteer and for those who purchase tickets to the Pepsi Premier Viewing Areaor the Cîroc Crescent Lounge.
Q. Where should I park?
A. Parking is FREE for VIP (Cîroc Crescent Lounge/Palmetto Penthouse) ticket holders! VIP parking is in the Capitol Center garage adjacent to the event. For other attendees, there are a number of parking garages around the event area.
Q. Can I bring my pet?
A. Sorry, but for safety reasons no pets will be allowed inside the event area. Service animals trained to assist disabled persons will be allowed into the event.
Q. Are cameras allowed at the event?

Q. Can I leave the event and return later?
A. Yes, as long as you’re wearing your event wristband, you may leave and re-enter (you’ll need to go through gate check-in each time you re-enter). You may not take any beverages outside the event area.
Q. What items can I NOT bring into the event area?
A. The following items CANNOT be brought into the event area:
- Weapons of any kind
- Illegal substances
- Backpacks of any kind
- Food or beverage of any kind
- Alcohol (beer, wine, and champagne will be sold at the event)
- Containers or coolers of any kind
- Skateboards, scooters, or personal motorized vehicles (exceptions for people with mobility limitations)
- Bicycles
- Fireworks and explosives
- Instruments and laser pointers
- Umbrellas
- Picnic baskets
- Lawn furniture
- Pets (except service dogs)
- No illegal vending is permitted—no unauthorized/unlicensed vendors allowed

Access Options
Special parking for disabled individuals is available. These spaces are reserved for vehicles displaying state-issued (any state) disability placards or license plates. These spaces are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Accessible restrooms will be available. Service animals trained to assist disabled persons will be allowed into the event.
Security/Safety
Our primary goal is to create a safe and secure environment for all event attendees. To ensure this, there will be on-site security provided by local police and private security companies. If you’re experiencing any problems whatsoever, locate an event staff member, security guard, or police officer.
WE HAVE A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY TOWARD VIOLENCE OF ANY TYPE. ANY INCIDENTS WILL BE ADDRESSED BY THE CITY OF COLUMBIA POLICE DEPARTMENT AND EVENT SECURITY. ANY PERSONS INVOLVED IN FIGHTING OR VIOLENT ACTS WILL BE REMOVED FROM SITE AND/OR ARRESTED, NO EXCEPTIONS!
