Famously Hot New Year
Think Times Square meets Southern hospitality and you’ve got Famously Hot New Year, a huge street party in downtown Columbia, SC, to ring in 2013. The event will feature a free concert by The Wallflowers and Atlantic Starr, plus an appearance by DJ Biz Markie. Columbia favorites Reggie Sullivan and Terence Young and The Finesse Band will also perform. Join thousands of party-goers for live music, food and drink, fireworks, a midnight countdown, and more. Gates open at 6 p.m.
Pepsi Premier Viewing Area tickets will let you enjoy an up-close viewing area, plus give you access to a special entrance gate and separate vendors and restrooms, so you won’t stand in line with the General Admission crowds.
Cîroc Crescent Lounge ticket holders will enjoy perks including an indoor lounge, open bar, hors d’oeuvres, and reserved indoor parking adjacent to the event, along with full access to the Premier and General Admission areas.
Edventure New Year’s Eve at Noon
Get ready for Columbia’s only ball drop for kids on Dec 31! Doors open at 9 a.m., with activities celebrating New Year’s Eve around the world! As the countdown to noon begins, our giant illuminated ball descends and lands at the foot of EDDIE®, kicking off the biggest mid-day celebration in town! Cheers to a DJ dance party, confetti cannons, a super cool ball drop, and hundreds of excited kids!
• Ball drop and confetti cannon at 12 p.m. followed by a dance party in front of Eddie.
• DJ Hero and Just Dance competitions from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• AHA Factory activities will include making your own party hat and noise makers.
• Face painting and the make-your-own soda lab will be offered throughout the day.
• A New Year’s Resolution Board will be available for visitors to add their resolutions.
• 2013 Glitter Glasses and New Year’s Eve tiaras will be for sale.
